Our Floating Gardens project for 2012 has been approved by IOBY and put up on their website. If you’d like to support this project, visit our IOBY site and donate whatever is within your means. Please tell all of your friends, family members, loved ones, co-workers, bosses, and anyone else to donate!

Floating Gardens, as documented in a previous post, is a small scale attempt to provide habitat for marine life as well as remediate the waters of the Gowanus Canal through the creation of inventive floating gardens made of recyclable materials (such as tires).

We had a lot of fun last year making the gardens. This year we are improving on previous designs so that the gardens will be even better! The gardens will be launched on our Sunday, August 19th Clean & Green.

Thanks to IOBY for approving our project!
